Cooper & Company earns 2025 Build Georgia Award

Cooper & Company was honored to receive a coveted Build Georgia Award from the Association of General Contractors. The awards were announced at the organization's annual conference in June.

The firm received the recognition for it's Phase 3 project for the Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Clinic.

The Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Clinic was eager to begin its Phase 3 addition and renovation of a pharmacy, exam rooms, office space and other patient amenities. Cooper & Company General Contractors was selected for the project due to our firm’s competitive pricing as well as the client’s familiarity with our company who came on board to complete Phase 2 when another construction firm was unable to complete the job.

Even though this project was Design-Bid-Build, Cooper & Company was active in the value engineering process to give Good Samaritan the best possible pricing so they could focus on continuing to bring their much-needed medical services to the small community of Jasper, Georgia.

The project scope included the construction of 10,746 SF 2-story building with two, one-story connecting corridors to the Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center Building. Included in the facility were two sets of interior stairs, an elevator, pharmacy, exam rooms, offices and a multi-purpose room.

Patient safety and Pharmacy security was a top priority of Good Samaritan and of course our team at Cooper & Company. As an occupied jobsite, our team set in place an added layer of safety measures and logistics to ensure these priorities were achieved.

Through consistent and careful communication, attention to detail, creative scheduling and a willingness to go the extra-mile, The Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Phase 3 addition and renovation was completed on time, within budget and with zero safety incidents.
