Cooper & Company Awarded DeKalb County Fire Stations 5, 16 & 27

Cooper & Company General Contractors is proud to announce we have been awarded the multi-year contract to build three new DeKalb County Fire Rescue stations — Fire Station 5 in Tucker, Fire Station 16 in Decatur, and Fire Station 27 in Lithonia.

These new facilities will replace and modernize critical infrastructure for DeKalb County Fire Rescue, giving firefighters and first responders the space and systems they need to serve their communities well into the future. Each station will feature apparatus bays built for fast, efficient response times, living quarters and support spaces for on-duty crews, and administrative offices — all designed to meet current NFPA and ADA standards while enhancing day-to-day operations for the men and women who serve DeKalb County.

We're grateful to DeKalb County for the confidence placed in our team, and we look forward to getting shovels in the ground at all three sites in the months ahead.

This is a multi-year undertaking, with construction phased across three distinct sites and communities. We're looking forward to partnering closely with the project team and DeKalb County officials every step of the way, working together to keep each station on schedule, on budget, and built to the highest standard of quality.
