Jim Cooper named President of Cooper & Company

Cooper & Company is excited to announce the firm's new president and principal--Jim Cooper.
The news comes after longtime Cooper & Company president Steve Cooper announced his plans to retire at the end of 2024.
Jim will serve as the firm's second-generation leadership, and continue the company's mission of construction with cooperation.
Jim has more than 32 years of specialized construction management experience with Cooper & Company. Beginning his career while still in high school, he joined the family business serving as a laborer, carpenter’s helper and assistant project manager before graduating from Auburn University. Learning the business from the ground up has enabled him to gain valuable expertise in multiple facets of the company.
Serving as company President and owner of the company, he is responsible for a multitude of pre-construction activities including estimating, marketing and client services as well as overall operations of the firm.
Additionally, Jim manages subcontractor relationships and works closely with owners and consultants in the planning, schematic and design development phases of each project. Jim will provide creative solutions to budgetary, technical, and logistical challenges during the early design phases of your construction projects.
Jim is active with Association of General Contractors of Georgia having served on the board of directors and a previous Legislative Committee Chair.
