Cooper & Company is excited to announce the award to begin construction for the new Forsyth County Fire Station #11 located on Pittman Road in Cumming. We are honored to once again be working in our community of Forsyth County. With the job site being less than 5 miles from our corporate office Cooper is eager to get started on this close to “home” project.

Pittman Road is located in the western part of the county and connects with State Route 371. With the site being a heavily trafficked area, county residents will see construction in all phases on the new station, designed to be roughly 12,000 square feet with four bays and a brick exterior.

Company President Steve Cooper is proud to have the opportunity to construct projects in Forsyth County, a community that’s home to our corporate office and in the area where so many of our employees live, work, worship, and play.

“Anytime we can help contribute to our own community is a privilege. This particular project is a great addition to the county and a benefit for many of our staff who live in the West Forsyth community where Fire Station #11 will be located,” Cooper said.

We have worked with Forsyth County on many projects including the Forsyth County Board of Education, Sharon Forks Library, West Forsyth High School, Johns Creek Elementary and the First Baptist Church of Cumming to name a few.

Company Vice President Jim Cooper knows how hard the team works so everyone can take pride in a facility located close to home, as many of our own tax dollars have contributed to making these projects a reality. These projects also allow us to pull from a pool of our hyper-local subcontractor base to make construction a reality.

“Being able to build a public safety project that directly benefits my family and the family of so many of our employees means a great deal to me” Jim said.  “We’ll work hard to ensure this station is one that the county can be proud of on the day we celebrate the grand opening.”

Cooper and Company is pleased to once again be working with Croft & Associates, a firm we have extensive experience with and we’ve worked with on many successful projects. Work is expected to begin this summer.
