  • Proficient knowledge of, Outlook, and Microsoft project

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage all aspects of a project from start to completion in the North Georgia region. The ideal candidate will have exceptional management skills with a distinguished work ethic.

  • Prepare monthly job cost status report

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or related discipline
  • 5+ years of professional construction experience

  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

The Project Engineer provides support to facilitate the planning and coordinating of activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of a project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works closely with Project Manager and provides support thereto through preparation and maintenance of project documents and records.
  • Job site Quality Control reports.
  • Review drawings revisions and provide quantity take-offs.
  • Reviews and process shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract documents.
  • Assists Project Manager in establishing and maintaining good communication with the client.
  • Represent Company in project meetings as required.
  • Maintains record sets of contract drawings, as well as current drawing and submittal logs.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: BS in Engineer, Building Construction, or Construction Management

EXPERIENCE: Intern or Coop experience preferred

SKILLS: Strong leadership, management, organizational and communicative skills. Must be able to establish and maintain client relationships.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment such as fax, calculator, document reproducing equipment and communications equipment. The position also requires a valid driver license and must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending and a normal range of hearing and vision. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires working outdoors with light to moderate physical exertion and included walking on steeped, sloped and uneven surfaces, temporary ladders, and stairs at the job location.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate, orally and written, in a professional manner. Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May be called upon to work overtime or odd schedules. Work is split between typical office setting and potentially extended periods spent outdoors on jobsite location.
